This week is all about washing up. Get your toddler to help wash the dishes, unload the dishwasher and sort cutlery. And get ready for the festive season with this week's arts and crafts.
Sing Scrub-A-Dub-Tub with your toddler and enjoy the book Five Minutes' Peace.
Your sensory play idea for washing up week or being lazy week is washing up! Get a stool and stand your toddler next to you at the sink. Let them "help' you with the washing up. Chances are they will love it. And you can have 5 minutes peace for that cup of tea.
This may not count as normal active play but it's washing up week! Why don't you get your toddler to help you unload the dishwasher and sort or put away cutlery?
For this week's arts and crafts we will be making festive cards. Not that related to washing up but give them a go. Get a fork, put it in green paint and help your toddler apply it in the shape of a tree. Use a brush or finger to apply baubles to the tree and add a star to the top. In a similar way, make a circle on a card with brown paint. When it's dry, draw on antlers, eyes and a nose to make a reindeer.
We've linked the colourful card and washable paints we use but any will do.
Files coming soon.
Bit of a random list for next week but trust us it's a good week! You'll need some plastic animals, an ice cube tray, a potato and some colourful card. And some paint, as always!
