This week, dish up some spaghetti in the sensory box, paint with pasta and go on a tour of historical Italian sites.
You can't get much more pasta themed than this book! A simple but accurate recipe takes young readers through the steps of cooking spaghetti, from chopping onions to serving up a plate of steaming hot pasta with tomato sauce, while the interactive novelty features invite them to participate in the process ... without any chance of spilling anything
And believe it or not, there is a pasta-themed cocomelon song - available here. Enjoy!
Make spaghetti in this week's sensory box!
We used some yellow yarn we had to represent spaghetti, with red yarn for sauce and balls of tin foil for meatballs. We added some additional complexity to it by making counting cards, which are available for download below.
Try out some pasta painting with this week's arts and crafts! Get your toddler to help paint some pasta yellow then arrange it whilst dry around the image of a lion's face. There's a picture of a lion available to download below if you're not feeling that artistic!
Get ready to search out some of Italy's beautiful sites with this week's active play! Print out the 2 A4 pages below in the download section and cut and hide the images on the second page around a room. Then get your toddler to find and match them with the images on the first page.
