This week. do some digging with a construction-themed sensory bin, make your own bricks and become diggers in the active play.
Time for some self PR - did you know we've created a series of alphabet colouring books including this one on construction? All designed to be simple with single sided designs to prevent bleed through and fun facts on every page about the object your toddler is colouring in!
Make a construction sensory bin for this week's sensory play!
We used a base of ground up shredded wheat that was going to waste. Alternatives you could try are Cheerios or sand.
Then we also put in these toy diggers, a road set from IKEA and some mini clay bricks.
For some simple arts and crafts this week try painting with vehicles!
All you will need is some washable paint and construction vehicles. If you don't have them then any toy cars will do.
Put the car in the paint then run it along a piece of paper.
This will get a bit messy so you could do a car washing station afterwards - put some water in a bowl along with suds and get your toddler to clean up the vehicles!
A very easy active play idea today. How about pretending to be diggers with your toddler? Put things out on the floor and have goes scooping them up and putting them in a container.
