Celebrate the new year in style, well toddler style!, with fireworks in a jar, fizzy firework painting and a bubble party.
We struggled with a book and rhyme suggestion for this week's theme so went down the party route. Why don't you get this book of action rhymes and have fun singing them with your toddler?
Make fireworks in a jar with your toddler. It's easier than you may think and they'll probably get a kick out of helping you measure out the various quantities.
Liquids have different densities and water is heavier than oil so it sinks. Food colouring doesn't dissolve in oil, but as you pour the container of oil into the water the coloured drops will start sinking as they are heavier than oil. When they reach the water they will dissolve making your fireworks in a jar!
This week do some fizzy fireworks salt painting with your toddler.
* we used an old medicine syringe but a dropper/pipette or even a spoon would work equally as well.
This week blow some bubbles and watch as your toddler enjoys popping them. Always a hit at Toddler Hacks HQ, we recommend getting this very well valued 2 litre container so you never have to worry about supplies running low!

DownloadAll you'll need next week are some apples (3-4 would be perfect) and some paint.
