This week feed your own very hungry caterpillar, make a caterpillar chain and act out your own caterpillar lifecycle.

For your rhyme this week, we are suggesting Ms Rachel's Caterpillar Song.
For your sensory play this week, draw a caterpillar onto a cardboard box or print off our A4-sized caterpillar and stick it if you are less artistically inclined! Print off food or use any toy food you may have and enjoy reading The Hungry Caterpillar book with your toddler and posting the food items as you go through the book. We added paper plates with the days of the week written on them.
Get a piece of string or a shoelace and thread onto it green penne pasta and red circles of card to make your own caterpillar.
Move through the life cycle stages in The Very Hungry Caterpillar book this week.
Another option is to roll your child up in a toilet paper roll with their arms down by their side, then encouraging them to break free and become a butterfly.
Download and print the feeding activity to do for this week's sensory play. The A3 file will print in A4 size, but you'll get the posting caterpillar a 2 A4 pages you can stick together.
You can also download the animal lifecycles printable which includes the lifecycles of a turtle, chicken and frog, as well as a caterpillar/butterfly.
Next week you'll need some plastic dinosaurs (bit of a giveaway!), flour, coffee/cocoa powder and some salt!
