Breakfast

Welcome to Breakfast Week

This week, make a breakfast sensory box, a breakfast box whirly and cook some pancakes.

Book and Rhyme of the Week

Why don't you teach your toddler where their favourite foods come from and explore some recipes with this week's read. This week's rhyme is The Breakfast Song.

Sensory Play

Use what breakfast items you have to make a breakfast sensory box for your toddler. We used a packet of porridge oats that were past their prime, but any breakfast cereal would work just as well. Alongside it we used a muffin tray and scoops.

Arts & Crafts

This week, make a breakfast whirly with your toddler. Take a side of a used cereal box and get your toddler to paint a design on it. Once it is dry, cut out a spiral shape and attach a piece of string to the centre to make your own whirly.

Active Play

Look up a pancake recipe and enjoy doing some cooking with your toddler for this week's active play.

What You'll Need For Next Week's Theme

Next week you'll need rice, along with food dye and vinegar if you can face dying it. And some washable pens - these crayola ones are hard to beat.
