Explore rainbows this week with a rainbow rice sensory bin, make magic rainbows and build your own rainbow.
Quite an easy nursery rhyme this week: why not sing a rainbow with your toddler? And read the sparkly rainbow fish book.
Take sensory play up a notch this week and make your own rainbow rice sensory bin. We promise it's easier than you might think! Put some rice in a resealable bag along with some food colouring and a swig of vinegar and mix it together. The vinegar helps to spread and set the colour. Then tip it out onto a surface to dry. We used a baking tray covered with baking paper.
Once it's dry, put into a tub along with scoops and containers and let your toddler explore.
Get some kitchen roll and draw a line for each colour of the rainbow either side of it in washable marker pen. Place both ends in a small container of water and watch as a rainbow appears.
Challenge your toddler to build their own rainbow by finding items of each colour in a room.

DownloadNext week, you'll need a couple of paper plates, paint and tissue paper. You could source some fake feathers but up to you!
