Welcome to football week! This week score goals in the sensory play, make a (very) mini football table and play some football.
Our book of the week is Spinderella which combines both football and counting. What's not to love? And for our rhyme of the week XX
Keep it simple for this week's sensory play and find any balls you have around your home. We used some unwanted pom poms from a toy basket but plastic ball pit balls would work just as well. Build a goal - either by cutting a goal shape out of a cardboard box or by sticking a sheet of cardboard into a tub. Then encourage your toddler to score goals!
We added some leftover rice from Spring week for the grass.
Make a mini football table for this week's arts and crafts.
1. Get a box. The deeper the better
2. Find 2 straws - we used some metal ones which worked well. Punch holes either side of the box and push each straw through.
3. Cut out 2 pieces of cardboard and attach them to the straws with sellotape
4. Drop in a ball and kick the ball between the footballers
This week's active play idea shouldn't come as top much of a surprise! Find a ball and play some football with your toddler.
Files coming soon.
Next week it's a bit of a long list but it's a good one trust us!
